JETHRO & JACKSON // Flyer
Client: Jethro & Jackson
Emerging loungewear brand Jethro & Jackson had a need for a flyer to tell the story of their Winter 11 range. I Blame David created an A5 flyer that folds out to an A3 poster to showcase the garment range and to set the mood for the brand’s first real entry into the Australian retail market outside of Myer.
SUNNYLIFE // Brochure, Product & Print Design
Client: SunnyLIFE
I Blame David worked continuously with Australian lifestyle brand SunnyLIFE to present the Summer 10/11 season – telling the story of a ‘day of summer’. I Blame David worked with SunnyLIFE to create the range including print and product design, production of the brochure and assorted promotional materials and in the direction of the photo shoot.
SHINE GROUP & SPORTSGIRL // Gift Range Packaging
Client: Shine Group & Sportsgirl
Under the direction of Shine Group, I Blame David helped create packaging for Sportsgirl Christmas gift range. All designs were created as a collaboration with Ross Sabatini and Annika Fleur.
PROTALK // Visual Identity & Website Direction
Client: Protalk Professional Language Coaching, Australia
The story of Protalk is one of bringing professional language coaching and tutoring to international employees struggling to grasp the intricacies of the English language in a corporate scenario. I Blame David was asked to create a visual identity for the organisation that could be applied to stationery, promotional material and their website.
CAPE YORK PARTNERSHIPS // Logo Development & Consolidation

Primary CYP logo, developed to reflect the partnership with Cape York Institute

Client: Cape York Partnerships
I Blame David worked in-house at the Cape York Partnerships headquarters in Cairns, QLD along side a marketing team from KPMG. Our brief was to consolidate their current logo to identify their connection to Cape York Institute, and to extend this primary logo into a full logo set for all of their programs. We felt lucky to be able to help out such an important organisation.
STUDIOBIRRELL // Logo & Stationery
Client: StudioBirrell
The story of StudioBirrell is bespoke architectural concepts, created by hand, using pens, pencils and lots and lots of yellow tracing paper. I Blame David created a logo to echo these hand-drawn techniques, whilst being very descriptive of the studio’s capabilities. The business stationery used the yellow of the yellow trace (on which many of their concepts are presented) and, as the true value of the studio’s business lies in the experience of director Stephen Birrell, we felt it should be the primary focus for the business card.
LEP // Logo, Art Direction & Typesetting
Client: Eileen McBride, Love Equals Power
Eileen approached I Blame David to help her interest younger people in her philosophies and classes for Love Equals Power. We created a typemark and symbol set for her brand, keeping it bright, young and exciting. I Blame David also directed the design of her website and a typesetting direction for her book, Love Equals Power.
